Shih-liao Trail (Trailhead No. 5 Temporarily Closed) Introduction
The origin of Shiliuliao comes from the Japanese colonial period, when this area was the twelfth camphor oil production site, hence its name. Currently, Shiliuliao is focused on tourism, offering opportunities for hiking, cycling, and dining. The trail is approximately 2000 meters long with a gentle slope, but still allows for a view of the flatland from the highest point. In recent years, the tourist industry has flourished, leading to renovations of the path, which primarily consists of stone steps and gravel roads, making it a smooth trail suitable for people of all ages.
