Xianzhu Temple (Ziyun Hall) Introduction
Hikers are definitely familiar with Xianzu Temple, also known as Ziyun Hall, which is located near the trailhead of the highest peak in Tainan – Mount Datong. Xianzu Temple covers a vast area and is dedicated to the immortal Lü Dongbin and the founder of Taoism, Laozi. The temple's environment is tranquil and lush, with gardens full of trees and blooming flowers. The Nine-Tailed Golden Dragon in the Nine Dragon Pond appears lively and vibrant. The atmosphere of the temple can be aptly described by the saying "the mountain does not have to be high; it is renowned if there are immortals; the water does not have to be deep; it is spiritual if there are dragons." Xianzu Temple is a resting place that many hikers do not miss, with its elegant surroundings and serene temple atmosphere making it an excellent spot for busy modern individuals to slow down.
