Due to the riverbed on the south bank being elevated above the usual water level, many locals rent sandbars from the river authority to grow crops, among which the high-quality watermelons are famous throughout Taiwan. Here, I recommend visiting during sunset to enjoy the golden rays reflecting on the water, offering a unique and delightful experience. Additionally, you can take a stroll along the river embankment, with the best section being between Yizhuang Village and Yangxian Village. This spot can also be paired with the Sibande Natural Health Trail and the future surrounding bicycle trails, making it ideal for outings with family and friends.
