Wanglongpi Introduction

Wanglong Lake, also known as Ruann Lake, is located behind Hushan Elementary School in Zhenshan Village, Yuanshan Township, Yilan County. It is a natural lake formed hundreds of years ago due to a mountain flood at the foot of the Dajia Creek. As Wanglong Lake is a mountain lake whose waters are related to the livelihood of local residents, the elders in the area named it Wanglong Lake based on an old proverb, wishing for abundant rainfall. The scenery at Wanglong Lake is beautiful, surrounded by mountains on three sides, featuring a Chinese-style red winding bridge and a red arch bridge over the lake that connect the beautiful views at both ends of the lake, making it a great recreational spot in Yuanshan Township. Due to its picturesque landscape, it became the filming location for the popular idol drama "Next Station, Happiness." The lakeside café was also renamed after the village in the drama, Huatiancun, becoming a resting spot for tourists coming to enjoy the lake's beauty. Walking briskly along the lakeside trail, you can admire the captivating water scenery and breathe in the fresh air of nature. Additionally, you can climb the Feilong Trail to the observation platform, which is about 1 kilometer long, offering a panoramic view of Wanglong Lake. Watching the lake's surface change with the weather brings a unique experience.
