Wanglongpi Introduction
Wanglongpi, also known as Ruampi, is located behind Hushan Elementary School in Zhenshan Village, Yuanshan Township, Yilan. It is a lake that formed naturally at the foothills of Dajiaoxi due to a mountain flood several hundred years ago. As Wanglongpi is a mountain lake, the water is related to the locals' lives, leading the elders in the area to name it Wanglongpi from a traditional saying, hoping for abundant rainfall. The scenery at Wanglongpi is beautiful, surrounded by mountains on three sides, featuring a Chinese-style red winding bridge and a red arch bridge that connect the scenic spots on both ends of the lake, making it a great leisure destination in Yuanshan Township. Due to its picturesque lakes and mountains, it became a filming location for the popular idol drama "Next Stop, Happiness," and the lakeside café was renamed as the village in the drama - Huatiancun, becoming a resting point for tourists to enjoy the lake and scenery. Walking lightly along the lakeside path, visitors can admire the water views and absorb the phytoncides of nature. Additionally, one can hike up the Feilong Trail to the observation platform, which is about 1 kilometer long, to gaze down at Wanglongpi and experience the varying reflections on the lake that change with the weather, providing a different sensation each time.
