Hsincheng Wind Sugar Leisure Park Introduction
Located in the Baoshan Township of Hsinchu County, the Xincheng community has developed sporadic settlements since the Qing Dynasty when Jin Guangfu began cultivating the Beipu area, and it was known as Xincheng Village at that time. After the Japanese occupation, due to the suitable soil for growing sweeter sugarcane near Baoshan, Xincheng became one of Taiwan's important sugar production areas. Many years ago, Xincheng had vast sugarcane fields, and sugarcane was transported to sugar factories by carts, transforming into sweet brown sugar. During this period, community residents heavily relied on the sugar factories for their livelihoods. Therefore, the Xincheng Sugar Recreation Area boasts a unique natural environment with beautiful mountains and clear waters, complemented by the efforts of local villagers in creating a place that has not been overly artificial. It has gradually formed into a perfect spot to connect with nature, engage in leisure and fitness, and savor delicious food. The Xincheng Sugar Recreation Area features barbecue facilities, group activity areas, hiking trails, ecological ponds, children's playgrounds, various DIY courses, Hakka cuisine, agricultural specialty product exhibitions and sales, guided tour services, and travel planning and consultation for nearby attractions. Here, all you need to bring is a joyful heart for a wonderful holiday filled with great memories.
