The former residence of Principal Hsin Chih-Ping is a designated historical site to commemorate the educational achievements of Principal Hsin Chih-Ping of Hsinchu High School. The residence is a Japanese-style wooden dormitory, constructed around 1922, originally designated as the principal's quarters for Hsinchu High School. Principal Hsin lived here from his arrival in Taiwan in 1945 until his passing in 1985.
