The Former Residence of Principal Xin Zhiping is a designated historical site commemorating the educational achievements of former Hsinchu High School Principal Xin Zhiping. The residence is a Japanese-style wooden dormitory built around 1922, originally serving as the principal's assigned accommodation for Hsinchu High School. Principal Xin lived here from his arrival in Taiwan in 1945 until his passing in 1985.
