The Hsin Chih-Ping Former Residence is a designated historic site to commemorate the educational achievements of former Hsinchu High School Principal Hsin Chih-Ping. The residence is a Japanese-style wooden dormitory, built around 1922, which originally served as the principal's designated residence at Hsinchu High School. Principal Hsin lived here from his arrival in Taiwan in 1945 until his death in 1985.
