Feng Lian Temple Introduction
In the 58th year of the Republic of China, which corresponds to the Year of the Earth Dog, local benefactor He donated the land for the temple, and gathered local gentry to discuss and fundraise for its construction, establishing the Fenglian Temple of Guanyin. Mr. He Youjia was appointed as the administrator. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Guanyin (the Bodhisattva of Compassion), along with the associated deities: the God of Agriculture (Shen Nong), the Goddess of Birth (Zhu Sheng Niang), King Yanping, and the God of Wealth (Fu De Zheng Shen). After renovations completed in the 95th year of the Republic of China, a Wenchang Hall was added next to the temple, housing Wenchang Dijun (the God of Literature), Guan Sheng Dijun (Guan Yu), and the God of Wealth in Literature.
