【Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/09/20~2026/09/19】In 2002, the founder of GBA Brewery Restaurant frequently traveled to the United States for business and often gathered with friends at local craft beer restaurants, developing a deep fascination for the culture of beer tasting and beer pairings. This inspired him to bring the Upper Casual dining culture from Europe and America to Taiwan. After years of planning, GBA Brewery Co., Ltd. was established in 2007, and it officially opened in 2008 in the Xinyi District of Taipei City, becoming the first restaurant to enter a department store at that time, with multiple branches now across Taiwan. The founder has always maintained a philosophy of giving back to the community, determined to move the brewery back to its roots. In 2020, GBA Brewery's Beer Bar settled in Zhubei, becoming the first modern tourist factory that combines a brewery and restaurant in the area. The second floor features a cultural exhibition area with guided tours that provide detailed introductions to the long history of beer and display the four main ingredients of "German Beer Purity Law": malt, hops, yeast, and water. The entire brewing process, from grinding and mashing the malt to subsequent fermentation and maturation, is showcased through videos alongside the brewery's production line. In addition to having access to actual raw materials, visitors can also enjoy tastings of GBA Brewery's five signature beer flavors, guided by staff to experience the proper beer-tasting etiquette, turning beer tasting into a journey rather than just "gulping it down," allowing for different layers and flavors to be appreciated at each stage. The first floor features the GBA Brewery Restaurant, offering "handcrafted creative international cuisine, classic German craft beer, friendly and warm hospitality, and a rejuvenated dining environment," which has won the hearts of consumers.
