Muba Ancient Trail Introduction
The Muba Ancient Trail was originally a path for transporting timber and has since been redeveloped into a leisure walking trail, weaving through a 516-hectare forest area. Along the way, visitors can see a mix of bamboo groves and cedar forests, boasting intact original timber and rich ecology, with sightings of the Blue-bellied Pitta. The trail features bamboo pavilions, ecological ponds, Stone Wall Pitta Bridge, charcoal kiln ruins, and a scenic viewpoint offering vistas of the Chianan Cloud Peaks and Shibi Mountain. The Yangmieliao Skywalk allows close-up views of the towering Alishan cedar trees in a quiet and comfortable setting with beautiful forest scenery. The trail is clearly marked with informative signs, making it a suitable attraction for families. Currently, the vegetation along the ancient trail is lush and serves a protective role, hence development has focused on low-impact approaches, promoting niche, in-depth, and特色 tourism to lessen the impact on the local environment.
