Beigang Story House Introduction

Beigang Story Museum was grandly opened on March 23, 2012, with the aim of promoting the charitable spirit of Mazu and preserving the soon-to-be-lost local cultural heritage. It gathers inherent craftsmen and artists, infusing new vitality, and works together with enthusiastic individuals to present the long-standing local characteristics in their original form and flavor, providing folklorists with the opportunity to study and reflect on ancient artifacts. The Beigang Story Museum is a public welfare-oriented place, in line with the mission of the Chaotian Temple. For instance, Taiwanese student Wu Jianheng, with the support of Chaotian Temple and this museum, has promoted Mazu culture across Asia, Africa, and South America with traditional folk culture such as the statues of the San Tai Zi and Ba Jia Jiang masks, initiating public diplomacy. In the future, there are plans to expand this effort, with hopes that Beigang Mazu will shine on the international folk stage.
