Douliu Nansheng Temple Introduction
The largest wooden statue of Guan Yu in Taiwan is located at Nansheng Temple in Douliou, originally named Cixiu Hall. It belongs to the Luan Hall system of Fubi Jishi and is dedicated to five deities: Guan Yu, Lü Dongbin, the Kitchen God, Yue Fei, and Wang Lingguan, who are respectfully referred to by the devotees as the Five Holy Benefactors. The temple's main statue of Lord Guan is carved from camphor wood, stands 3.6 meters tall, and weighs over 600 kilograms, which is rare in Taiwan.
