The Fisherman's Port Festival honors ancestors and seeks peace for all. The Wanshan Temple in Jinhu was established in 1957, originating from the Wanshan Shrine in Hangu Village, which was founded to commemorate the maritime disasters during the Daoguang period. Residents from both Jinhu and Hangu Village hold a ritual to guide the souls of the deceased on the 7th and 8th days of the sixth lunar month, praying for local peace and safety.
