Chenggong Fishing Port Introduction
Success Fishing Port, also known as Xinguang Fishing Port, is the most important fishing port along the coast of Taitung. The newly designed Xinguang Fisheries Building, with its unique ship-shaped appearance, stands out by the harbor. Fishing boats return to port before noon, and in the afternoon, fresh catches are auctioned off one by one. Visitors can witness the lively auction process at the fish market and experience the unique charm of the fishing port (closed on Sundays). The owners and chefs of nearby seafood restaurants also participate in the bidding, quickly turning fresh seafood into sumptuous dishes on the dining table.
