Jin Gang Avenue Introduction
The Zhongyong Bicycle Path is a less-known cycling route along the East Coast. This circular path passes through the Zhongyong Community and the Changguang Community. Both communities are sites of Late Neolithic Chih-lin Culture (also known as Megalithic Culture) relics. The modern residents are primarily from the Amis tribe, which is one of the larger Amis communities on the East Coast. During the Qing Dynasty, they mainly cultivated dry rice and millet, while in the Japanese colonial period, they learned rice cultivation techniques from the Kavalan people living in the Chengzai Pu area, gathering community labor to develop irrigation channels and transform the landscape into the terraced fields seen today.
