【Evaluation Validity Period: 2025/11/18~2028/11/17】Yingge Jianshanpu, a place that has sustained the people living on this land through its soil. The "Hsu Family" ceramics factory located by the Jianshanpu railway is just one of the many in Jianshanpu. Many stories have been left here, and we hope that by sharing our passion for the cultural history of Jianshanpu, we can help everyone who has worked hard for this land of Taiwan to better understand the stories that have unfolded here. My grandfather Mr. Hsu Hsin-Wang (1921-1982) had an accidental yet inevitable choice when it came to his ceramic business. He endured rough times from the Japanese colonial era through Taiwan's rapid economic growth, leading us to this generation where we can enjoy such happiness. It takes reflection to truly comprehend the significance behind this business. Standing under the eaves of this old factory, with leaves gently falling from the gaps of the old cedar beams, it is a serene moment to feel the essence emitted from the fire bricks that have been here for 90 years. One can inadvertently sense the hardships and sweat left behind by my grandfather, which instantly drops onto the glowing red kiln bricks. This place has borne the spirit of simplicity, frugality, and diligence from my grandfather's olden days, representing not only the resilience of the people of Yingge but also the hardworking and striving history of the Taiwanese people.
