Wang Yang Ju Ancient House Introduction
Located on Wenhua Road in Yingge District, this brick street house was built during the Japanese occupation period, approximately 80 to 90 years ago. It features a three-bay, two-story design. The arcade and the second-floor facade are adorned with Baroque-style decorations, showcasing significant craftsmanship and artistic value. The preservation condition is good, retaining elements from its former days as a rice and grain store, which reflect Yingge's commercial history. The surrounding area has since been developed with multiple buildings, while opposite the site is the railway area of the Zhe Railway Station, enclosed by a wall. The facade features a two-story Western-style arcade with Baroque decoration. The building is elegant, spacious, and sturdy. It consists of three bays, with commercial spaces on the ground floor and residential areas on the upper floor, connected by a wooden staircase. The front of the building has an arcade that links to the second-floor facade, following the Baroque architectural style.
