Wang Yang Ju Old House Introduction
Located on Wenhua Road in Yingge District, this brick street house was built during the Japanese colonial period, approximately 80 to 90 years ago. It features a three-bay, two-story design. The arcade and the facade on the second floor are adorned with Baroque-style decorations, showcasing considerable craftsmanship and artistic value. The preservation condition is relatively good, with remnants of a former rice and grain business preserved, attesting to the commercial history of Yingge. Surrounded by high-rise buildings, the opposite side faces the railway area near the train station, which is enclosed by a wall. The second floor features a Western-style arcade with Baroque decorations. The building is aesthetically pleasing, spacious, and sturdy. It consists of three bays, with the ground floor serving as commercial space and the upper floor as living quarters, connected by a wooden staircase. The front of the building includes an arcade, which connects to the second floor facade and showcases Baroque architectural style.
