Wang Yang Ancient House Introduction
Located on Wenhua Road in Yingge District, this brick-built street house was constructed during the Japanese colonial period, roughly eighty to ninety years ago. It features a three-bay, two-story structure. The arcade and the second floor's brick walls are adorned with Baroque-style decorations, showcasing considerable artistry and value. The preservation status is good, and remnants of its past as a rice store can still be seen, reflecting the commercial history of Yingge. Surrounding the area are numerous buildings, with the railway tracks of the Zhe Railway Station directly across the street, which is enclosed by a wall. The second floor features a Western-style arcade, also with Baroque decorations. The architecture is elegant and spacious, standing sturdy and visually appealing. This brick street house consists of three bays, with the lower floor designated for shops and the upper floor for residential space, connected by a wooden staircase. The front of the building has an arcade that connects to the Baroque-style facade of the second floor.
