Shihwei Mountain Trail Introduction
Shihwei Mountain is located on the easternmost side of Dongyin Island, and it is one of the highest points with the most expansive views on the island. The trail winds along the sea cliffs, reaching an elevation of about 150 meters, offering a stunning view of the wave-cut topography and the magnificent sea scenery. From the lighthouse area, it extends to various geological landscapes such as Liénu Yikeng and Yixiantian, making it the best route to experience the unique landforms of Dongyin Island, where "the sea meets the sky and the cliffs rise to the sea." Along the way, the vertical joints of the rock walls are clearly visible, creating a rare wave-cut gorge landscape formed by years of erosion and weathering, making this trail a classic intertwining of nature, geology, and wartime culture.
