Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
The Butterfly Valley Hot Spring Resort is located within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area, featuring a design that incorporates elements of nature and modern minimalism. It extensively utilizes high-quality natural stones and woods from Hualien, with guest rooms thoughtfully nestled deep within the national forest. Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is a forest recreation area dominated by camphor trees, containing a 70-hectare area of camphor tree plantations that release large amounts of phytoncides and camphor oil, which are beneficial for human health, making it an ideal forest bathing spot. The environment here is pristine and natural, providing an excellent habitat for butterflies. From March to August is the best season for butterfly watching, where over 30 species of butterflies dance gracefully among the trees. Furthermore, from March to May and September to November, visitors can enjoy the sight of black-winged fireflies and Taiwan mountain-window fireflies. As night falls, thousands of glowing fireflies can be observed, offering a breathtaking experience! In addition to the camphor forest and butterflies, the steep canyon terrain of Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is also spectacular, with giant boulders and clear streams cascading powerfully between the rocks. The hiking trails throughout the area not only provide a spiritual forest cleansing experience but also feature pavilions, observation platforms, and recreational facilities, making it an excellent place for leisure and relaxation.
