Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Butterfly Valley Hot Spring Resort is located within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area, featuring a design characterized by natural elements and modern minimalist style. It extensively utilizes premium natural stones and wood from Hualien, with thoughtfully crafted guest rooms nestled deep in the national forest. Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is a recreational area primarily composed of camphor trees, encompassing a 70-hectare camphor forest that emits a significant amount of phytoncides and camphor oil, which are highly beneficial for human health, making it an ideal forest bathing area. The pristine environment here provides an excellent habitat for butterflies to inhabit and reproduce, with the optimal butterfly viewing season from March to August, when over 30 species of butterflies gracefully dance among the forest. Additionally, from March to May and September to November, it is the season to admire the black-winged fireflies and Taiwan mountain-window fireflies, where thousands of glowing fireflies can be seen lighting up the night, a breathtaking sight! Besides the camphor forest and butterflies, the steep valley terrain of Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is also quite spectacular, with giant rocks and boulders visible throughout the stream and abundant, clear water rushing between the massive stones. The hiking trails in the area allow for a spiritual cleansing experience in the forest, featuring pavilions, observation decks, and recreational facilities, making it an excellent destination for leisure and relaxation.
