Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Butterfly Valley Hot Spring Resort is located within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area. It features a design that incorporates natural elements and modern minimalist style, extensively utilizing high-quality natural stones and timbers from Hualien, with guest rooms thoughtfully nestled deep in the national forest. Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is a forest recreation area primarily composed of camphor trees, encompassing 70 hectares of camphor plantations that release abundant phytoncides and camphor oil, which are very beneficial to human health, making it an ideal site for forest bathing. The area boasts a pristine natural environment that provides an excellent habitat for butterflies to inhabit and reproduce, with the best butterfly watching season from March to August when over 30 species of butterflies dance gracefully in the woods. Additionally, from March to May and September to November, it is the season to admire the black-winged fireflies and Taiwan Mountain Window Fireflies, with thousands of sparkling fireflies visible at night, offering a breathtaking sight! Besides the camphor forest and butterflies, the steep canyon terrain of Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is also spectacular, with giant rocks and boulders visible throughout the streams, and the crystal-clear water flows tumultuously between the towering stones. Along the mountain trails in the area, visitors can enjoy a soul-cleansing experience in the forest, along with pavilions, observation decks, and recreational facilities, making it an excellent destination for leisure and relaxation.
