Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Butterfly Valley Hot Spring Resort is located within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area, characterized by a design that incorporates natural elements and modern minimalism. It extensively utilizes top-quality natural stones and woods from Hualien, thoughtfully placing the guest rooms deep within the national forest. Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is a forest recreation area primarily composed of camphor trees, with a 70-hectare camphor forest that releases a large amount of phytoncides and camphor oil, which are highly beneficial for human health, making it an ideal forest bathing ground. The environment here is pristine and natural, providing a quality habitat for butterflies to reside and reproduce. The best time to appreciate butterflies is from March to August, with over 30 species fluttering gracefully in the woods. Additionally, the months from March to May and September to November are the seasons to enjoy the black-winged fireflies and Taiwanese mountain window fireflies. As dusk falls, thousands of sparkling fireflies can be seen, creating a breathtaking sight! Besides the camphor forest and butterflies, the steep gorges of Fuyuan Butterfly Valley are also spectacular, featuring giant rocks and clear, abundant streams that surge between the massive boulders. The hiking trails within the area not only offer a spiritual cleansing experience but also have pavilions, viewpoints, and activity facilities, making it an excellent place for recreation and relaxation.
