Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Butterfly Valley Hot Springs Resort is located within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area. It features a design that combines natural elements and modern minimalist style, extensively using high-quality natural stones and wood sourced from Hualien to thoughtfully position guest rooms deep within the national forest. Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is a forest recreation area primarily composed of camphor trees, where there are 70 hectares of camphor woodland that release a large amount of phytoncides and camphor oil, beneficial to human health, making it an ideal forest bathing site. The pristine natural environment here provides a high-quality habitat for butterflies to thrive and reproduce, with March to August being the best seasons for butterfly watching, showcasing over 30 species fluttering gracefully through the forest. Additionally, from March to May and September to November, visitors can enjoy the sight of black-winged fireflies and Taiwanese lantern bugs. As night falls, thousands of shimmering fireflies illuminate the environment, creating a breathtaking spectacle! Beyond the camphor forest and butterflies, the steep valley terrain of Fuyuan Butterfly Valley is also striking, with giant rocks and clear, abundant streams rushing between boulders. The hiking trails within the area not only offer a spiritual cleansing of the mind through forest immersion but also feature pavilions, viewing platforms, and recreational facilities, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and leisure.
