Taichung High Speed Rail Station Introduction
Taichung High-Speed Rail Station, commonly referred to as Wuri Station, is located in Wuri District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It is a railway station on Taiwan's High Speed Rail. This station is adjacent to the New Wuri Station of Taiwan Railways Administration's Taichung Line. Since 2010, it has surpassed Zuoying Station to become the second-busiest station in terms of passenger traffic, after Taipei Station. Taichung High-Speed Rail Station features two island platforms and six tracks, with the two central tracks being bypass tracks without platforms. The total land area of the station is approximately 12 hectares, and the total floor area of the station building is 110,000 square meters. Compared to other high-speed rail stations, Taichung Station has a unique characteristic due to its location on the border between Taichung City and Changhua, which lacks bustling markets and commercial complexes. As a result, many well-known chain restaurants and specialty gift shops are located within the station, making it a popular spot for leisure visitors, especially on weekends, who may not be traveling. The station has a total of 10 exits, with exits 1 to 4 located on the second floor and exits 5 to 7 on the first floor. There is also an unnumbered exit primarily leading to the station plaza, vehicle parking areas, public transport waiting areas, and transfer stations along with other surrounding facilities. Signage at each station exit displays a list of nearby buildings and facilities.
