Taichung High-Speed Rail Station Introduction
Taichung HSR Station, commonly known as Wuri HSR Station, is located in Wuri District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It is a railway station of Taiwan High Speed Rail. This station is adjacent to the Taiwan Railways Administration's Xin Wuri Station on the Taichung Line. Since 2010, it has surpassed Zuoying Station to become the second busiest station in terms of passenger traffic, after Taipei HSR Station. Taichung HSR Station features two island platforms and six lines, with two central tracks that do not have platforms. The total base area of the station is about 12 hectares, and the total floor area of the station building is 110,000 square meters. A notable characteristic of this station, compared to other HSR stations, is its location at the border area between Taichung City and Changhua County, which lacks bustling markets and shopping centers. As a result, the station hosts many well-known chain restaurants and souvenir shops, attracting numerous leisure visitors on weekends, who are not necessarily there to take the train. Taichung Station has a total of 10 exits, with Exits 1 to 4 located on the second floor of the station, Exits 5 to 7 on the first floor, and one unnumbered exit, primarily connecting to the station plaza, vehicle parking lots, public transport waiting areas, and transfer stations along with other surrounding facilities. Each station exit is equipped with signboards displaying a list of nearby buildings and facilities.
