Nanguan Temple, Liujia Township Introduction
Built in 1946, it is dedicated to the deity Fu You Di Jun and was established by Lin Jing-tang from Liuying. As history progressed, the temple's popularity grew, leading to its current expansion. Zhennan Temple is located close to the Hatta Yoichi Memorial Park, Wushantou Reservoir, and the Industrial Technology Research Institute's Lioujia campus. After paying respects, visitors can take a simple hike along the Chishan Trail at the back of the temple. The trail is well-marked and gentle, featuring viewing platforms and rest areas, as well as a beautiful grove of eucalyptus trees hidden within. The trail leads to a small lake near the Industrial Technology Research Institute and can also connect to the Coral Pond Camping Area and Siyuan Pavilion in Wushantou, showcasing stunning scenery along the way. Most visitors are local residents who often bring snacks and brew a good pot of tea to picnic at the trail’s pavilions, creating a very pleasant atmosphere and giving it a hidden gem feeling due to the lack of tourists.
