Xiaonan Lake Ecological Park Introduction
Due to the presence of the Putuo Zen Temple dedicated to Guanyin of the South Sea by the lakeside, this body of clear blue water is often referred to as Little South Sea. The Little South Sea Suspension Bridge connects the Zen Temple with the ecological park, forming a scenic lakeside pathway approximately 5 kilometers long for walking and cycling, flanked by lush green trees. Even in the summer, the shaded pathway provides a cool and refreshing experience. The natural cycle of trees and water here makes the air pure, resembling a paradise of the South Sea. During lotus season, the surrounding fields are filled with blooming lotus flowers, making this one of the important areas for lotus-viewing in Baihe. The Little South Sea Scenic Area is also equipped with well-planned bicycle paths that connect to the Orchid Biotechnology Park, the Cotton Tree Flower Path, or Wushulin, promoting a trend of low-carbon cycling travel. It is a scenic area that combines both exercise and leisure.
