Taiwan Craft House -陶園工作坊 (陶園工作坊可以保持原名,因為它是單一的工作坊名稱) Introduction
Hsu Tsung-Huan was born in 1965 in Daceng, Changhua County. He creates pottery that not only serves functional purposes but also conveys numerous internal ideas and thoughts through his works. Each of his hand-sculpted pieces is uniquely crafted, exuding the rustic charm of traditional Taiwanese countryside life and revisiting childhood memories. Elements such as the casuarina trees, widely planted peanuts, frogs in the ditches, and fallen dead wood along the roads are vividly integrated into his pottery creations. In 2003, he won the Huangxi Award for three-dimensional works at the 4th Huangxi Fine Arts Exhibition, in 2007 he received certification from the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute as "Taiwan Craft Home," in 2011 he was selected as one of Changhua County's 100 outstanding figures, in 2012 he won the bronze award at the 4th Golden Pot Awards for ceramics, and in 2014 he was honored with the "2014 17th Global Life-Loving Medal" from the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation. The pottery workshop was established in the 1980s, creating a cultural space for appreciating, playing with pottery, and passing on skills in this rural area. Through the sculpting of clay, it conveys a sense of connection to the earth, adding warmth to pots beyond functionality and playfulness.
