Fangyuan Intertidal Zone is the last piece of original and the largest intertidal wetland in Taiwan. The vast black mud beach is teeming with vibrant ecology and retains a 60-year tradition of using oxen to assist fishermen in oyster harvesting, which has been registered as an intangible cultural asset in Changhua County. It has created a unique global ecological tourism experience called "Sea Cow Oyster Harvesting," allowing visitors to ride a sea cow into the "Cape of Hope," experience fishing village culture, and feel the rhythm of marine life, attracting travelers from across Taiwan and around the world.
