湖口溼地

Located in the Hukou Village section of Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, this wetland grassland ecological area was originally a farm owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation. After being affected by Typhoon Wayne in 1986, seawater inundation made it impossible to continue cultivating the large farmland, which was originally planted with sugarcane. After years of abandonment and through the passage of time, the land has evolved into a paradise for wild plants under harsh conditions, without human cultivation or modification, forming a unique rural character alongside the wetland leisure park planned by the local government.
