湖口溼地

The wetland grassland ecological area located on Huku Village section of Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, was originally a farm owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation. After being hit by Typhoon Wayne in 1986, seawater inundated the area, rendering the large sugarcane fields unable to continue cultivation. After years of abandonment, nature has transformed the land into a paradise for wild plants under harsh conditions, without any artificial modifications or planting. Combined with the wetland leisure park planned by the local government, it has created a unique rural character.
