湖口溼地

This wetland grassland ecological area located on the section of Lukou Village, Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, was originally a farm owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation. After being hit by Typhoon Wayne in 1986, seawater intrusion prevented the large farm, which originally cultivated sugarcane, from continuing its operations. After years of abandonment, nature has transformed the land into a paradise of wild plants in the harsh environment, without artificial modification or cultivation. Combined with the wetland leisure park planned by the local government, it has also formed a unique rural characteristic.
