湖口溼地

This wetland grassland ecological area located in Hukou Village, Koushu Township, Yunlin County, was originally a farm owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation. After being hit by Typhoon Wayne in 1986, seawater surged in, making it impossible to continue cultivating the large farm that originally grew sugarcane. After years of fallowing, nature has taken its course, creating a paradise for wild plants in this harsh environment. Without artificial embellishments or planting, combined with the wetland leisure park planned by the local government, it has formed a unique rural character.
