Huben Ecological Village Introduction
Hukeng Township, characterized by hilly terrain, is located south of Linnei Township. The ecological environment in the village is quite healthy, attracting international conservation bird species, particularly the Formosan Blue Magpie, during summer when they come to roost. In around November, they migrate away from Taiwan, earning it the nickname "Hometown of the Eight Colors Bird." Inside Hukeng Village, one can also spot conservational bird species such as the Formosan Blue Magpie, Taiwan Bamboo Partridge, Black-crowned Night Heron, and Malayan Kingfisher, as well as plants like the Thunder God Vine and Dendrobium orchids. With the combined efforts of the local community development association and the government, Hukeng Village has become an educational, tourism, and recreational eco-village within Linnei Township.
