Hufen Ecovillage Introduction
Lhuben Township, characterized by hilly terrain, is located to the south of Linnei Township. The ecological environment within the village is quite good, and every summer, international conservation bird species, particularly the Formosan Blue Magpie, come to reside here. They leave Taiwan around November in winter, earning the village the nickname "Hometown of the Formosan Blue Magpie." In Lhuben Village, one can also spot other protected bird species such as the Taiwan Blue Magpie, Taiwan Hill Chicken, Black-crowned Night Heron, and Crested Kingfisher. Additionally, plants like the Thunder Gun and Dendrobium orchid can be found here. Collaborating with the local community development association and government efforts, Lhuben Village has become an educational, tourism, and leisure eco-village within Linnei Township.
