Hsi-Lo Theatre Introduction
The Xiluo Theater was built in 1940 by the prominent Lin family in Xiluo. It is well-known in the area and has formed a bustling commercial hub with nearby businesses, earning the nickname "Xiluo Ximenqing." The theater has now been designated as a historical building, and its beautiful architecture is still well-preserved today. The architectural layout of the Xiluo Theater is symmetrical with staircases located on both sides. The first floor includes a stage and an audience area, with side spaces for cypress wood working areas flanking the stage, which features a central cypress wood truss structure. The second floor consists of a wooden audience tier and a projection room. The facade showcases a gable end with air vents and wooden louvered windows, and the gable's Baroque-style pebble wash base and decorative patterns with tile finishing reflect a neo-romantic style.
