The Purple Butterfly Garden Linnei Station was established in 1908 and was originally called Linnei Station. It is the first trunk line station on the south bank of the Zhuoshui River, connecting to Ershui Station to the north and Shiliu Station to the south. In the past, there was a branch line connecting to the Mitsubishi Paper Mill, and it is now a third-class station of Taiwan Railways.
