Budai Sea View Park (High Heel Church) Introduction
The High Heels Church features a stunning design, representing the concept of happiness. The construction of this project was quite challenging, involving over 320 pieces of glass, each with different sizes and installation angles. The unique shape and curvature of the high heels demanded meticulous attention to detail. In June 2016, it was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest high heel-shaped building in the world. In Taiwan, before a bride marries into her husband's family, she must step onto and break tiles with high heels, symbolizing the discarding of past troubles, just like the broken tiles. The High Heels of Happiness was built on land that once flourished in salt production, sparkling like salt crystals under the bright sun, with each grain representing the fruits of the ancestors' hard work. The broken tiles beneath the high heels of happiness have been completely swept away, symbolizing the start of a new era for the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan regions. This place is indeed the starting point of happiness!
