Zhongping Vegetarian House Introduction
The restaurant was established in 1959 by founder Huang Jingxing and his wife Wu Shimei, who joined hands to open Chung Ping Vegetarian House in the Zhongli Railway Station business district. Almost six decades have passed since then. Initially starting as a noodle stall, Grandma Wu Shimei's signature vegetarian mixed vegetable noodles have become a cherished memory for students from the 40s and 50s who frequented the business district near the roundabout. During a time when vegetarian cuisine was not well developed, all vegetarian ingredients were self-developed and produced (including signature vegetarian fish, vegetarian cod, mushroom chicken rolls, vegetarian liver, lion's head, and red yeast vegetarian meat). They still insist on making everything in-house, especially the signature sweet and sour vegetarian fish, which is famous far and wide and is the best offering for vegetarians during festivals and ancestor worship. Currently, the business offerings include catering for banquets, vegetarian New Year dishes, various fast-fried a la carte items, affordable set meals, custom bento boxes, delivery of banquet dishes, exquisite set meals, baked rice and noodle individual meals, and more… Various consumption modes are available for customers to choose from. The restaurant also holds a million-dollar public liability insurance policy for customer peace of mind.
