Zhongping Vegetarian House Introduction
This restaurant was established in 1959 by founder Huang Jing-xing and his wife Wu Shi-mei, who together opened Zhongping Vegetarian House in the Zhongli Station business district. Nearly a full 60 years have passed since its inception. Initially starting as a noodle stall, Grandma Wu Shi-mei's signature vegetarian mixed noodle dish has become a shared memory for students of the 1970s and 1980s frequenting the roundabout business district. In a time when vegetarian cuisine was not well developed, all vegetarian ingredients were self-created (signature vegetarian fish, vegetarian cod, mushroom chicken rolls, vegetarian liver, lion's head, and red yeast vegetarian meat). To this day, we insist on making everything ourselves without outsourcing to others. Especially our signature sweet and sour vegetarian fish is famous far and wide, making it the best offering for vegetarian enthusiasts during the New Year and festivals for worshiping gods and ancestors. Currently, our services include catering for banquets, vegetarian New Year dishes, various a la carte quick stir-fries, economical set meals, customized lunch boxes, delivery of wedding banquet dishes, exquisite set meals, and baked rice and noodles as individual casual dining options... We offer a variety of consumption models for customers to choose from. Our restaurant is also insured with a public liability insurance of up to 10 million, ensuring customers can eat with peace of mind.
