Zhongping Road Business District Introduction
The Zhongping Commercial District, often referred to as "Taoyuan Ximen Street," is located right in front of the Zhongli Train Station, just a one-minute walk from the station's exit, making it the top choice for shopping and strolling in the area. The early Zhongping Commercial District originally had asphalt roads, but it was later renovated into a pedestrian walkway, transforming the bustling area into a more shopping-friendly environment. The pedestrian-only area is nearly 700 meters long and 15 meters wide, featuring a variety of shops primarily focused on boutique clothing and trendy youth fashion. Additionally, renowned local eateries including Xin Zhen Xiang Crispy Candy, Zhongli Meatball Family, Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Ice Shop under the Banyan Tree, and a full beef restaurant can be found along this street, alongside several trendy apparel brands. A nearby Japanese-style duplex building, which has been standing for over 80 years, has been renovated and reopened as the "Zhongping Road Story Museum," making it the first urban story museum in Taoyuan City.
