Li Jing Town Introduction
Li Jing Town, built in 1941, was originally the official residence of the Zhongli District Office constructed by the Zhongli Mutual Aid Association. Since the Japanese colonial period, it has been inhabited by families of Taiwanese police officers and witnessed the occurrence of the Zhongli Incident after the war, becoming a milestone in Taiwan's democratic development. In 2012, the Cultural Bureau of Taoyuan City Government registered it as a historical building. After investigation, research, planning, design, and restoration, it opened its doors to the public in 2019. Through exhibitions and lectures, Li Jing Town has become an arts and cultural salon in the Zhongli area, preserving local knowledge and addressing social issues.
