A-Song Stinky Tofu Introduction
"A-Song Stinky Tofu" was established in the 1970s and is located at No. 37, Zhongzheng Road, Xinying City. The business hours are from 3 PM to 7 PM. The owner, Chen Ching-Song, learned from Liu Zhengnan in the triangular area opposite Shijian Hall (located at the intersection diagonally across from the Xinying City Office, next to the Kuomintang's former Tainan County Party Headquarters) when he was young and subsequently took over the stall. The owner emphasizes hygiene and quality in his business, continuously improving the taste and raising the quality. His business became extremely popular, with almost everyone in the Xinying area, young and old, having tried his stinky tofu. At that time, there was no official name since the stall was set up next to Shijian Hall; thus, it became known as "Shijian Hall Stinky Tofu," evolving into a signature snack of the Xinying area. The main ingredients of the stinky tofu include pickled vegetables, dipping sauce, and stinky tofu itself, crafted with care by the owner, appealing to discerning customers, including vegetarians who can also enjoy the stinky tofu.
