A-Song Stinky Tofu Introduction

"A-Song Stinky Tofu" was founded in the 1980s and is located at No. 37, Zhongzheng Road, Xinying City, with business hours from 3 PM to 7 PM. The owner, Chen Ching-Song, apprenticed under Liu Zheng-Nan in the triangular area opposite Shih-Chien Hall (located at the intersection right across from the Xinying City Office and next to the former Tainan County KMT Party Headquarters) when he was young, and subsequently took over a stall. The owner places great emphasis on hygiene and quality in his business, constantly improving flavors and enhancing quality, which has led to tremendous popularity. Almost everyone in the Xinying area, regardless of age or gender, has tried his stinky tofu. At that time, there was no official shop name, as the stall was located next to Shih-Chien Hall, so it became known as "Shih-Chien Hall Stinky Tofu," turning into a signature snack of the Xinying area. The main ingredients of stinky tofu include pickled vegetables, dipping sauce, and the stinky tofu itself. Due to the owner's meticulous preparation, he attracts even the most discerning foodies, and vegetarian customers can also enjoy his stinky tofu.
