A-Song Stinky Tofu Introduction
"A-Song Stinky Tofu" was established in the 1980s and is located at No. 37, Zhongzheng Road, Xinying City, with operating hours from 3 PM to 7 PM. The owner, Chen Chingsong, learned from Liu Zhengnan in the triangular area opposite the Shijian Hall (across from the Xinying City Office, next to the Kuomintang's former Tainan County Party Committee) and subsequently took over a stall. The owner places great emphasis on hygiene and quality in his business, continuously improving the taste and enhancing the quality, leading to exceptional sales. Almost everyone in the Xinying area, young and old, has tried his stinky tofu. At that time, there was no official restaurant name; since the stall was located next to the Shijian Hall, it became known as "Shijian Hall Stinky Tofu," marking it as a local specialty snack in Xinying. The main ingredients of stinky tofu include pickled vegetables, dipping sauce, and stinky tofu, all carefully crafted by the owner, attracting discerning foodies, and even vegetarians can enjoy this stinky tofu.
