Ah Song Stinky Tofu Introduction
"Ah Song Stinky Tofu" was established in the 1980s and is located at No. 37, Zhongzheng Road, Xinying City. Its operating hours are from 3 PM to 7 PM. The owner, Chen Ching-Song, apprenticed under Liu Zheng-Nan in a triangular area across from Shijian Hall (at the intersection diagonally across from Xinying City Hall, next to the former Tainan County Party Headquarters of the Kuomintang) during his youth and took over the stall. The owner emphasizes hygiene and quality in his business, constantly improving flavors and enhancing quality. The business has become so successful that nearly everyone in the Xinying area, young and old, has tried his stinky tofu. At that time, there was no store name; since the stall was located next to Shijian Hall, it was named "Shijian Hall Stinky Tofu", becoming a distinctive snack in the Xinying area. The main ingredients of stinky tofu can be divided into pickled vegetables, dipping sauce, and stinky tofu itself. Due to the owner's meticulous preparation, it attracts discerning food lovers from all three categories, and vegetarians can also enjoy the stinky tofu made here.
