A-Song Stinky Tofu Introduction
"Ah Song Stinky Tofu" was established in the 1970s and is located at No. 37, Zhongzheng Road, Xinying City, with operating hours from 3 PM to 7 PM. The owner, Chen Qingsong, apprenticed under Liu Zhengnan in a triangular area opposite Shijian Hall (next to the Kuomintang's former Tainan County Party Office) in his youth and subsequently took over the stall. The owner emphasizes hygiene and quality in his business and continuously improves the taste and enhances the quality. The business has become exceptionally popular, with nearly everyone in the Xinying area, regardless of age or gender, having tasted his stinky tofu. At that time, there was no official name for the stall; since it was located next to Shijian Hall, it became known as "Shijian Hall Stinky Tofu," which became a signature snack in the Xinying area. The main ingredients of the stinky tofu include pickled vegetables, dipping sauce, and stinky tofu, and due to the owner's dedicated preparation, it attracts discerning food lovers, including vegetarians who can also enjoy this family's stinky tofu.
