Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station Introduction
The High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station, located just about 10 kilometers from Taoyuan International Airport, plays a crucial role as a transportation hub due to its geographic advantage, serving as the "entrance to the airport." It provides efficient connections for international travelers and Taiwanese travelers entering and exiting the country to the Taipei-New Taipei area and central and southern Taiwan. In recent years, the number of passengers at the High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station has been steadily increasing, with an average of about 39,000 people entering and exiting daily as of 2019, surpassing 14.2 million for the entire year, highlighting its significant transfer status. The transportation connectivity of High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station is convenient; it features road systems such as National Highway 2 and Route 31, along with public transportation options including High Speed Rail express buses that connect to Taoyuan and Zhongli. Additionally, there are various bus services from intercity operators like Ubus, Taoyuan Bus, Zhongli Bus, and Yaton Bus operating to Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan City Government, Taoyuan Baseball Stadium, and more than ten other routes. With the opening of the Taoyuan Metro Airport Line, the transit capabilities of the station have further improved, allowing travelers to purchase tickets and transfer to the metro within the High Speed Rail station, significantly reducing travel time and alleviating heavy foot traffic. Recently, the leisure functions of the Qingpu High Speed Rail Special Zone have significantly improved, with constructions such as the 30,000 square meter Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium, an ecological park complex - Qingtang Park, and Taiwan's first American-style outdoor shopping mall - Huataizhengpin City being completed and opened. Additionally, the area has over 30 parks and features a 10-kilometer-long circular bike path, making it a preferred destination for many cyclists, while the High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station has transformed into an excellent pit stop for rest and refueling. Besides being a hotspot for cycling enthusiasts, the High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station is also popular among photography lovers, with a design concept inspired by "lanterns," featuring large glass facades and 8-meter steel columns that, when illuminated, resemble glowing lanterns, embodying the extended imagery of "lighting up Taoyuan and looking towards the international stage," making it worth a visit.
