According to statistics, the number of attendees watching the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) regular season games has exceeded 400,000 annually in recent years, earning it the title of "super popular stadium." Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium is located at the Airport MRT A19 Taoyuan Sports Park Station, providing convenient access with "MRT right to the venue." Surrounding the stadium are basketball courts, softball fields, Qingpu baseball field, shopping malls, Taoyuan Art Museum, and large accommodations, creating a comprehensive recreational area. The stadium covers about 4 hectares and is designed with one basement level and three above-ground levels. Initially completed with 12,000 seats in the infield stands, it was expanded to 20,000 seats after adding outfield stands for the World University Baseball Championship in 2012, making it one of the two stadiums with the most seating capacity in Taiwan, alongside Kaohsiung Chengcing Lake Baseball Stadium. To provide fans with a different viewing experience, special "Rock Seats" are set up on the first and third base sides, allowing for an immersive experience in the thrilling atmosphere of the game. For those wanting to enjoy the fun with a large group of friends, reserving VIP suites in Section B and Section J of the infield is a great option, providing a private space to shout freely! The "Monkey's Happy Fry," even more impressive than a sports restaurant, offers outdoor dining while watching games, and during national holidays, it introduces two dining packages featuring mixed hot pot and exquisite barbecue, ensuring unlimited fun during the games! In 2020, Rakuten officially took over Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium as its home ground and established the team "Rakuten Monkeys," along with the exclusive cheerleading squad Rakuten Girls.
