Whether at a baseball game or a concert, the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium (formerly known as Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium), which opened in 2009, has carried the passionate memories of many people. According to statistics, in recent years, the attendance for watching the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) regular season games has consistently exceeded 400,000 each year, earning it the title of "super popular stadium." The Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium is located at A19 Taoyuan Sports Park station of the Airport MRT, enjoying the convenience of being directly accessible by metro. Surrounding it are basketball courts, softball fields, the Qionglin Baseball Field, shopping malls, Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts, and large accommodations, creating a comprehensive leisure area. The Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium covers an area of about 4 hectares and is designed with one underground and three above-ground levels. Initially, when completed, it had 12,000 seats in the infield stands. In 2012, due to hosting the World University Baseball Championships, additional outfield seating was built, increasing the total number of seats to 20,000, tying it with the Kaohsiung Chengcing Lake Baseball Stadium as the stadium with the most spectator seats in Taiwan. To provide fans with a unique viewing experience, the "Rock Seats" are specially set up on the first and third base sides, allowing attendees to feel the thrilling atmosphere up close, as if they are in a rock zone. For those who want to enjoy the event with a large group of friends, it is recommended to book the VIP Suites located in the infield East and West lower sections, where an independent space allows for comfortable cheering! With a dining experience that surpasses ordinary sports restaurants, "Taoyuan Happy Fry" offers outdoor dining services during games. On public holidays, they even provide two dining specials featuring hot pot and exquisite barbecue, ensuring endless excitement during the game! In 2020, Rakuten officially took over the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium as its home ground and established the "Rakuten Monkeys" team, along with their dedicated cheerleading squad, the Rakuten Girls. The stadium hosts special themed parties and invites heavyweight guests for energetic performances, ramping up the excitement before the games. Over the years, the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium has hosted events such as the CPBL regular season, the Asian Professional Baseball Championship, the Asian Winter Baseball League, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Premier12, and major concerts by bands like Mayday, Fire EX., Guns N' Roses, and BTS.
