According to statistics, the number of attendees for the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) regular season games has repeatedly exceeded 400,000 each year in recent years, earning it the title of "super popular stadium." The Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium is located at the A19 Taoyuan Sports Park station of the Taoyuan Airport MRT, offering the advantage of "arriving at the stadium as soon as you get off the MRT." Nearby facilities include basketball courts, softball fields, Qingpu Baseball Field, shopping malls, the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts, and large hotels, creating a comprehensive recreational hub. The stadium covers about 4 hectares and is designed with one underground level and three above-ground levels. Initially completed with only 12,000 seats in the infield stands, it was expanded to 20,000 seats in 2012 when it hosted the World University Baseball Championship, making it one of the stadiums with the most spectator seats in Taiwan, along with the Kaohsiung Chengcing Lake Baseball Stadium.
