Yihé Garden Organic Farm Introduction
Yi He Garden, operated by Chen Li-Long, who is the son-in-law of the Soft Bridge area, has developed a technology-driven approach that emphasizes optimization in vegetable cultivation. He implements "planned planting," where customers place orders in advance for a four-month cycle. Payment is collected upfront, ensuring that planting begins only after order confirmation. This method allows the farm to limit its surplus vegetables to no more than five packs per week for subscribers, effectively avoiding oversupply issues. Chen Li-Long has diversified the management of this farm. He has promoted urban residents to engage in farming activities and has offered a course on "Organic Vegetable Cultivation and Health" at a community college, which was awarded the title of Excellent Academic Course in 99 (Year 2010 in the Gregorian calendar). This attracted city dwellers to come and plant vegetables, giving them hands-on experience with organic farming while experiencing rural life. Subsequently, he launched one-day or half-day "Food and Agriculture Education Experience Camps," which require a group of at least 20 participants, drawing interest from many agricultural associations, kindergartens, senior universities, and families.
