Hsin Feng Mangrove Forest Introduction

Guanhai Avenue x Xinfeng Mangrove Forest The Song of Sea Breeze and Sunset, a Dual Feast of Nature and Ecology. Along the coastal embankment in Xinfeng Township, Hsinchu County, there lies a scenic pathway known as Guanhai Avenue, praised as the most beautiful section of the coastal bike path. Here, not only can you enjoy a panoramic view of the expansive sea, but you will also find a row of towering wind turbines standing majestically along the embankment, creating a dynamic and stunning scene against the blue sky. In the evening, the golden sunset slowly sinks into the sea, painting the sky with beautiful hues, resembling a dreamy closing ceremony that attracts countless visitors for photos, walks, and enjoying the scenery. Heading south along Guanhai Avenue leads you to the Xinfeng Mangrove Wetland, a rare natural ecological treasure in northern Taiwan and a vibrant geography classroom for children. At the river mouth of the Dahan River, the intertwining water spinach and mangrove create a lush green tunnel landscape, with the pathway extending to the hexagonal arch bridge that spans the river mouth of the Dahan River, resembling a forest secret from Hayao Miyazaki's animation "My Neighbor Totoro." Standing on the shaded pathway, you can observe mangrove plants up close and witness the bustling ecological activities of the intertidal zone — fiddler crabs waving their large and small claws, mudskippers hopping and crawling on the mudflat, along with various birds and aquatic animals, creating a captivating scene. Due to its unique charm combining coastal scenery and ecological education, "Guanhai Avenue and Xinfeng Mangrove Wetland" was awarded the "Top 100 Tourism Highlights" honor in 2025, becoming the most popular photo spot and parent-child travel choice along the coastal line of Hsinchu County.
