Liuqing Amma Park Introduction
Liuching Mama Park was built by brothers Wang Yongqing and Wang Yongzai in honor of their mother, Wang Zhan-yang. It is located on the right side of the entrance to the Liucheng Industrial Zone. The architecture is reminiscent of Greek style and resembles the White House, thus it is also known as the Little White House. In front, there is a water pool with Roman-style structures, and the park features a maple forest trail, a colorful fountain, an arch bridge, a statue of Mama planting vegetables, an artificial river, and a waterfall, covering an area of approximately 7 hectares. Over one million landscape trees such as Casuarina equisetifolia, Diospyros lotus, and Agathis australis have been planted in the park, which has also attracted various birds such as egrets, white geese, Muscovy ducks, and mallards. Notably, the endemic Formosan cicada, with fewer than a thousand individuals remaining and facing extinction, has been spotted in Liuching Mama Park, indicating a well-planned ecological environment within the park.
