Mailiao Wind Farm Introduction
Four wind turbines imported from Denmark stand at the mouth of the Zhuoshui River on the northern bank, reaching a height of 45 meters with a blade diameter of 47 meters. They emit a humming sound in the wind. Although their economic benefits are not high, they are currently a focal point for the government's promotion of green energy. This site attracts local groups from Taoyuan, Miaoli, Hsinchu, and Pingtung, which are interested in building wind power, to come and observe. It is also a popular location for coastal temple activities and a great place for outdoor teaching for elementary school children from neighboring counties.
