Yen Ching Puppet Carving Studio Introduction
The Origin of Yanqing: The Yanqing Puppet Carving Studio was established in 1974 by Mr. Hsu Yanqing. Mr. Hsu was born in July 1951 in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. Since childhood, he enjoyed carving figures from wood, and over time, he became self-taught in creating lifelike puppet heads. He then painted various characters from his imaginative world with vibrant colors, each full of spirit, which led him into the world of puppet carving.
