Yunlin County Zhanghu Indigo Dyeing Cultural Association - A Room of Indigo Introduction
Turning crises into opportunities, the ecological indigo dyeing was born. Once a closed-down school, Zhanghu Elementary School faced a severe ecological crisis due to the invasion of the non-native plant, Mikania micrantha. Through the efforts of Hu-Wei University of Science and Technology and various indigo dyeing artisans, they successfully created indigo dyeing workshops, transforming the school into a handcrafted indigo dyeing studio that promotes ecological awareness and showcases unique features.
