Yanqing Puppet Carving Studio Introduction
The Origin of Yanqing: The Yanqing Puppet Carving Workshop was established in 1974 by Mr. Hsu Yanqing. Mr. Hsu was born in July 1951 in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. Since childhood, he enjoyed carving figures from wood, and over time, he became self-taught in creating lifelike puppets from wood. He then painted various characters from his imagined world with colorful brushes, each full of spirit and vitality, which led him into the world of puppet carving.
