Yanqing Puppet Carving Studio Introduction
The Origin of Yanqing: The Yanqing Puppet Carving Society was established in 1974 by Mr. Hsu Yanqing. Mr. Hsu was born in July 1951 in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. From a young age, he enjoyed carving figures out of wood, and over time, he became proficient in creating lifelike puppet heads without formal training. He then used colored pencils to paint various characters from his imaginative world, with each one exuding vitality, leading him to delve deep into the world of puppet carving.
