Dapeng Bay Bird Watching Area Introduction
The "Danian Rest Area" is located on the South-Link Highway (Taiwan Route 9) in Dawu Township, Taitung County, and is an essential stop for travelers exploring the South-Link. This area is home to the larger Paiwan tribe settlement on the South-Link Line, known as Danian Village, which in the native language is called "Pacavalj," meaning "swamp" or "basin," reflecting the deep connection between the people and the land. The entire rest area blends modern architectural design with Paiwan cultural elements, allowing travelers to experience the unique tribal atmosphere during their stay.
