Shuhua Waterfall Introduction
ShuHu Waterfall, located in Shoufeng Township's ShuHu Village, is nestled within a secluded mountain forest. Locally, it is often referred to as Laoshanshan Waterfall due to its proximity to Laoshanshan Mountain. From Taiwan Route 9, at the 225.5 km mark in Fengyuan Township, you will see a long cement sign for the ShuHu community. Turn right into the community and head towards ShuHu Bridge (Laoshanshan Bridge). Along the way, you will see cherry blossom trees planted along the roadside, and during the flowering season, hundreds of vibrant cherry blossoms bloom on the mountain, contrasting beautifully with the lush green forest and showcasing their brilliance. In addition to the cherry blossoms, there are dense azalea bushes lining the path, guiding visitors to explore further. Take care as you walk on the stone path leading to the waterfall viewpoint, where ferns and vines grow freely in the forest. The path maintains its original charm, and after about a 30-minute walk, you will reach the scenic platform. The ShuHu Waterfall, plummeting from over a hundred feet, cascades down like a delicate white silk, showcasing the stunning craftsmanship of nature.
