Xinxin Cement Eco-Park Introduction
【Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/04/21~2026/04/20】The cement industry is also the foundation of basic industries, with applications ranging from housing construction, public infrastructure, to defense industries. Whether it is houses, various buildings, bridges, roads, dams, or military facilities, cement must be used as a fundamental building material, creating an inseparable relationship between the cement industry and the economy of people's livelihoods. In 1973, the demand for cement surged both domestically and internationally, prompting the Ministry of Economic Affairs to actively request the Promotion Council to prepare for the construction of cement factories to balance the demand for cement in central and western Taiwan. Following the guidance of the Promotion Council, our company began preparations in 1974, establishing its headquarters in Taipei and a cement factory in Chiayi. After the government implemented a policy prohibiting mining in western Taiwan and the eastward relocation of the cement industry, the demand and sales volume for cement entered a period of gradual decline. Our company deeply recognizes the importance and responsibility of the cement industry coexisting with environmental protection, and aims to convey cement industry knowledge to the public. Through the transmission of educational knowledge, we hope to foster a friendly attitude towards the environment and the reuse of resources. The construction of the Hsin Hsin Cement Chiayi Factory is grand and magnificent, featuring significant geographic scenery and a unique eye-catching style, transformed into a postmodern outdoor photo spot. It includes exclusive interactive experiences with cement, such as DIY cement activities and digital interaction, as well as cement cultural and creative products, making it the first cement tourism factory in the country, undoubtedly becoming a trendsetter. The cement industry has always had an air of mystery, and through the Hsin Hsin Cement Eco-Park, we aim to help everyone understand the importance of cement in our lives, how it is produced, and how it can transform into an ecological and environmentally friendly coexistence.
