Rui Chun Soy Sauce Cultural Factory Introduction
【Evaluation Validity Period: 2025/03/27~2028/03/26】 Ruichun Soy Sauce was established in 1921. The first-generation owner, Zhong Qinxu, learned the technique of soy sauce brewing and self-formulated the ingredients, creating the first flavorful soy sauce paste made from black soybean soy sauce and the local Zhua Shui rice from Xiluo. He initially sold his soy sauce by carrying it on a shoulder pole beside the Xiluo Temple, before officially establishing the brand "Ruichun Soy Sauce." The second-generation owner, Zhong Gongzhao, worked hard to expand a small shop into a factory during a time of resource scarcity while still insisting on traditional brewing methods to produce high-quality soy sauce, which he named "Zhengyin Oil." The third-generation owner, Zhong Zhuhong, modernized the business by automating the packaging of soy sauce and developing a series of gift boxes, giving traditional soy sauce a new look. This innovation not only sparked a revolution in the Taiwanese soy sauce industry but also made Ruichun Soy Sauce a household name. In 2000, "Ruichun Soy Sauce Factory" was renamed "Ruichun Soy Sauce Co., Ltd." Now in its fourth generation, the company continues to ensure consumer confidence in safety and insists that "Xiluo" soy sauce must be produced in Xiluo. In December 2012, a new factory was inaugurated in the Xiluo Futian Industrial Zone with a transparent production line and the largest number of soy sauce fermentation tanks in Taiwan. In 2022, it obtained certification as a tourism factory from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and was selected as an excellent century-old store and innovative elite store by the Ministry. It has also won multiple awards as one of Taiwan's top 100 souvenirs and Yunlin's top 10 souvenirs and quality products. The company hopes to promote its traditional products while ensuring "deliciousness" and "quality," alongside the continuous inheritance of a century-old brewing technique. Chairwoman Lin Shuyuan states that with over a century of soy sauce brewing history passed down through four generations, the company has grown from a small family factory to the largest brewing tank facility in Taiwan, with a fully transparent production process, producing high-quality black soybean soy sauce while promoting the traditional flavors and characteristics of Xiluo soy sauce.
