Ciguang Temple is located in the mountainous area of Jianhu Mountain in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. The temple enjoys the natural beauty of Jian Lake, with its active waters reflecting the sky throughout the year, backed by the shade of Jianhu Mountain's lush forests. To the west, it overlooks the vast Chianan Plain, while to the east, the Central Mountain Range, guarded by Dajian Mountain, provides protection. The temple features a second reconstruction site, which was completed in October 2003. It showcases a humble and reserved northern architectural style. Under the leadership of the Yuantao Master for over thirty years, Ciguang Temple has undergone two reconstructions, during which it has consistently engaged in Buddhist teachings, education, charity, and various beneficial activities. Now, with the solemn temple completed, Ciguang Temple is humbly and joyfully ready to connect with countless monks from all directions and foster good relations with the community.

Jianhu Ci Guang Temple Introduction

Ciguang Temple is located in the Gukeng Township of Yunlin County, at the Jianhu Mountain. The temple features beautiful natural surroundings, with the Jian Lake reflecting the sky and a backdrop of Jianhu Mountain’s lush woods. To the west, it overlooks the vast Chianan Plain, and to the east, it is protected by the Central Mountain Range and Dajian Mountain. Spot Features: Ciguang Temple has undergone two reconstructions, with the entire building completed in October 2003, showcasing a humble and reserved northern architectural style. Since the Dharma Master Yuan has taken charge over the past thirty years, Ciguang Temple has experienced two major reconstructions while continuously engaging in Buddhist education, charitable work, and community service, implementing its mission day by day. Now, with the solemn temple completed, Ciguang Temple is joyfully open-hearted, forming countless good connections with monks from all directions.
