Meiling Scenic Area Introduction
Meiling is located in Wanquan Village, Nanshi District, and is an open mountainous area that includes several trails of varying difficulty. In the past, it primarily cultivated bananas, hence its old name "Banana Mountain." Later, it switched to planting plum trees, leading to its current name, Meiling. Visiting Meiling in May and June offers a triple delight: the tung flower petals blanket the ground, creating a May snow; as the white flowering season of the plum blossoms passes, local farmers begin to harvest the vibrant green plums, and the unique plum dishes in the area will definitely satisfy your taste buds; after night falls, you can wander into the forest for a summer rendezvous with fireflies.
