Yingcai Academy Introduction
Yingcai Academy (formerly known as Minnan Academy) covers an area of 9,270 square meters (approximately 3,000 ping) with a building area of 1,387 square meters (approximately 420 ping). The planning and design of the academy reference the architecture vocabulary of Minnan and the spirit of various academies, adhering to the principles of ancient imitation and creativity. For instance, the traditional geographical and architectural dimensions are aligned with historical principles, the structural spaces and appearances of the building adopt an ancient imitation approach, while the thematic essence of the pond, bridge, and garden landscape is inspired by creative principles. As for sustainable operation, the focus aims to be on the inheritance of cultural classics, with artistic activities encompassing literature, history, art, cultural creativity, and areas of mental and physical well-being, thus becoming a "living historical building, a living heritage site." Integrating local educational resources from the nearby Qiaoqiao Township and Houlong Township, the academy is designed in a Minnan style, functioning as a space for 'lectures, temple rituals, and scholarly pursuits.' The internal layout includes Wenchang Shrine, Dacheng Hall, lecture hall, static display area, dynamic display area, and open space area, emphasizing the Minnan cultural features of a social education center, creating a local cultural education museum. The design incorporates ecology and sustainable park concepts, providing the public with a high-quality environment for learning, leisure, ecology, environmental protection, and education. As the saying goes, "Being by the flowing water allows one's thoughts to transcend," Yingcai Academy is situated by the clear waters of the Beishi River. Visitors begin by strolling along the riverside path to calm their minds, then overlook the arch bridge and reflections in the pond, and enjoy the beauty of the academy's red-tiled roofs and white walls while walking on the Archway of Literary Fragrance. Upon entering the gatehouse and stepping into the tranquil courtyard of the academy, the worldly noise fades away, leaving only the study voices of students echoing, creating a cultural atmosphere that Yingcai Academy offers to its visitors. This embodies the vision of the Miaoli County Government in establishing Yingcai Academy, as invited by County Magistrate Xu Yaochang and the residents of the county for everyone to experience together. 【Ticket Prices】 ● Full ticket: 50 NTD ● Group ticket (20 people or more): 30 NTD ● Discount ticket (residents of the county): 20 NTD ● Free admission: 1.
