Yingcai Academy Introduction
Yingcai Academy (formerly known as Minnan Academy) covers an area of 9,270 square meters (approximately 3,000 ping) and has a building area of 1,387 square meters (approximately 420 ping). The planning and design of the academy reference the architectural vocabulary of Minnan and the spirit of various academies, adhering to principles of traditional replication and creativity. For example, the traditional geographic and architectural dimensions follow the principle of replication, while the architectural space structure and shape adopt the principle of imitation. The literary connotation of the pool, bridge, and garden landscapes emphasizes creativity. Regarding sustainable operation, the core focus is on cultural classic inheritance, with cultural and artistic activities addressing history, art, cultural creation, and the realms of physical and spiritual well-being, making it a "living historical building, a living heritage site." The academy integrates local educational resources from the nearby Qiaoqiao Township and Houlong Township, creating a Minnan-style academy that functions for learning, worship, and education. The internal planning includes a Wen Chang Temple, Da Cheng Hall, lecture hall, static display area, dynamic display area, and open space. It emphasizes the features of Minnan culture, serving as a county cultural education center, incorporating ecological and sustainable park designs, while providing a quality environment for the public in learning, leisure, ecology, environmental protection, and education. As the old saying goes, "Ling Liu Shi Ren Yi Yuan" (Being by the flow of water brings distant thoughts), Yingcai Academy is located by the clear waters of the Beishi River. Visitors to the academy first stroll along the riverside path to calm their minds, gaze at the arch bridge and white cloud reflections in the pool, then walk along the fragrant path to enjoy the beauty of the red-tiled, white-walled academy architecture. Entering the gateway, they step into the academy's tranquil courtyard, where the hustle and bustle seems separated by the thick walls, and only the sounds of students reading aloud fill the air. This is the cultural ambiance that Yingcai Academy offers to its visitors, which is also the vision of the Miaoli County Government in establishing Yingcai Academy. Miaoli County Mayor Xu Yaochang and the county residents invite you to experience it in detail together. 【Ticket Prices】 ● Full Price: NT$50 ● Group Ticket (20 or more people): NT$30 ● Discount Ticket (county residents): NT$20 ● Free Admission: 1.
