Longsheng Lake Introduction
Located on the west side of Zaoqiao Township, also known as "Datan Pond," adjacent to Houlung Township, the lake is not large and is surrounded by roads, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake from the lakeside highway. The lakeshore is lined with lush trees and scattered houses, with two temples, Longhu Temple and Lintian Zen Temple, situated within the area, creating a serene and picturesque scene. Water from the lake flows out from the northwestern corner into the Zhonggang River and eventually returns to the Taiwan Strait. The lakeside residents raise nearly five thousand ducks in the area, turning the green lake surface into a natural beauty of "thousands of ducks playing in spring." Many fish are also raised in the lake. During sunset, the golden rays of light shine on the shimmering surface of the lake, creating a tranquil and harmonious scene with ducks, fishermen, bamboo rafts, evening breezes, and returning woodcutters, making it a great place to appreciate rural landscapes.
