Longsheng Lake Introduction
Located on the western side of Zaoqiao Township, also known as "Datan Pond," it is adjacent to Houlung Township. The lake is not large, and it is surrounded by roads, allowing visitors to admire the picturesque reflections of the lake along the lakeside road. Lush trees line the shore, with scattered homes, and there are two temples, Longhu Temple and Lingtian Zen Temple, nestled among them, creating a tranquil and serene scene. The water from the lake flows out from the northwest corner into the Zhonggang River and eventually returns to the Taiwan Strait. Families living by the lake raise nearly five thousand ducks, adding to the natural beauty of the green lake, illustrating a scene of "Thousands of Ducks Playing in Spring." Many fish are also cultivated in the lake. During sunset, rays of golden light shine on the shimmering surface of the lake, creating a peaceful and harmonious view featuring ducks returning, fishermen, bamboo rafts, evening breezes, and returning loggers, making it an excellent spot for enjoying the rural landscape.
