Longsheng Lake Introduction
Located on the west side of Zaoqiao Township, also known as "Datan Pond," adjacent to Houlung Township, the lake is not large and is surrounded by roads that allow visitors to appreciate the enchanting scenery of the lake’s shimmering waters. The lakeside is dotted with lush trees and scattered homes, along with two temples — Longhu Temple and Ling Tian Zen Temple — that add to the serene atmosphere. The lake water flows out from the northwest corner into the Zhonggang River and then returns to the Taiwan Strait. The residents around the lake raise nearly five thousand ducks, turning the emerald green surface of the lake into a natural beauty, resembling "Myriad Ducks Playing in Spring." There are also many fish raised within the lake. During sunset, countless golden rays illuminate the sparkling lake surface, with distant ducks, fishermen, bamboo rafts, evening breezes, and returning woodcutters creating a serene and peaceful landscape, making it an excellent spot to enjoy the rural scenery.
