Longsheng Lake Introduction
Located on the west side of Zaoqiao Township, also known as "Datan Pond," adjacent to Houlong Township, the lake is not large and is surrounded by roads, allowing visitors to enjoy the exquisite scenery of the lake along the lakeside road. The lakeshore is lush with trees and scattered with homes, featuring two temples, Longhu Temple and Lingtian Chan Temple, nestled within the tranquil and beautiful landscape. Water from the lake flows out from the northwestern corner into the Zhonggang River and then returns to the Taiwan Strait. The nearby residents raise nearly five thousand ducks in the lake area, creating a natural scene of "ten thousand ducks playing in spring" on the emerald waters. Many fish are also raised in the lake. At sunset, golden rays illuminate the shimmering surface of the lake, while the quiet beauty of the scene is enhanced by ducks, fishermen, bamboo rafts, the evening breeze, and returning woodcutters, making it a great place to appreciate rural landscapes.
