Longsheng Lake Introduction
Located on the west side of Zaoqiao Township, also known as "Datan Pond," it is adjacent to Houlung Township. The lake is not large, surrounded by roads that allow visitors to enjoy the exquisite scenery of the lake and its reflections. The lakeside is dotted with green trees and houses, and includes two temples, Longhu Palace and Lingtian Zen Temple, amidst the serene and tranquil landscape. The water from the northwest corner of the lake flows into the Zhonggang River and eventually returns to the Taiwan Strait. The residents around the lake have raised nearly five thousand ducks, creating a natural beauty of "thousands of ducks playing in spring" on the emerald green surface. Many fish are also raised in the lake. As the sun sets, golden rays illuminate the shimmering lake surface, with scenes of ducks, fishermen, bamboo rafts, gentle evening breezes, and returning woodcutters weaving together to create a peaceful and harmonious view, making it a great place to appreciate rural landscapes.
