Yuanlin City Jiangjiu Heji Yang Temple Introduction
Jiayang Hall is a large-scale ancestral hall that preserves the local regional features and has special significance for the local culture and history, making it a representation of its time. The architecture itself combines styles from the Japanese colonial period and traditional Han styles, representing a typical architectural group of Hakka roundhouses found in Zhangzhou Pinghe. The main hall has two courtyards and dragon guardians on both sides, and the large clan retains the original characteristics of the Hakka people. The deity shrine in the main hall contains original items from the Japanese colonial period, which hold artistic and historical significance. Behind the main hall, there is an ancient well, highlighting the cultural background of the development of the Changhua Plain. Source: Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
